In the world of jazz there have been so many great artists it becomes difficult to have the time to listen and study all of them. Yet it is the responsibility, privilege and joy of every dedicated jazz musician to do so. With this CD I would like to tip my hat to two of my most significant inspirations, Miles Davis and Chet Baker. Like two sides of a coin they were both part of the same jazz heritage and yet undeniably individual. The music you are about to hear is my attempt to pay tribute to these amazing creators of emotion. I would also like to extend my appreciation to the wonderful musicians and recording engineers that produced and recorded this music with me. Thank you for all your passionate and tasteful performances. My wish is that this music touches the deep quiet places in your soul.
